The Web Explorer 17 represents a complete rebirth of the browser. Rewritten from scratch, it focuses exclusively on modern technologies for Windows 10 and beyond. Developed in parallel with the final stable releases of version 16, this version underwent exhaustive performance testing—from low-end hardware usability to high-end optimization. Based on the Blink Engine 112, it marks a milestone as the first version available to the general public both through direct channels and the Microsoft Store.

The Web Explorer 16, project name Stellarium, is built upon the refined code of Web Explorer 15, enhancing its core while introducing several new features. It initiated the transition to the Microsoft Store, initially launching in closed beta. Based on the Blink Engine 100, this version dropped support for legacy operating systems, now requiring Windows 10 and its variants. A pioneer in modern web standards, it implemented PWA support long before Microsoft Edge, replacing the old widgets with a native WebView-based Web App system.

The Web Explorer 15 serves as a major proof-of-concept test for emerging browser technologies and the transition to Windows 10. Due to Chromium engine impositions, support for Windows XP and Vista has been completely removed—while running on Vista might be technically possible, it is no longer viable. Additionally, support for legacy plugins has been discontinued. Although planned as the first version for the Microsoft Store, it could not be released there at the time due to engine restrictions and store policies.

The Web Explorer 13 is known internally by the codename Orion, the Web Explorer 13.1, 13.2, 13.3 and 13.4 by Rooster, 13.5.x by Vishera and 13.6 version is known internally by the codename Threshold.
